Our son Mica has been attending Heritage Charter Academy since 2nd grade and is now in 4th grade. From the very beginning, we felt how special this school is. Because it is a smaller school, it has such a warm and family-like atmosphere. Every student is greeted personally, and you can really see how much care and attention each child receives.
Mica loves this school more than any other he has attended before. One of the things he appreciates most is that every teacher knows his name and takes the time to greet or say goodbye to him. As parents, this means a lot to us as wellโit shows how much the staff truly values the students.
As a family coming from Germany, it has been amazing to see how welcoming the entire school community has been. Neither we nor our son have ever felt out of placeโhe was included from the very start, both by his teachers and his classmates. This openness and sense of belonging is something very special and something we deeply appreciate.
The teachers are not only friendly but also encourage creativity and give students the freedom to bring their own ideas into the classroom. For example, in art class Mica was able to share his own project ideas, and the whole class joined in. He was so proud of that experience!
What convinces us most as parents is how incredibly comfortable and happy our child feels at Heritage Charter Academy. He enjoys learning, he enjoys being part of the community, and he also takes advantage of the wonderful after-school programs such as dance, soccer, and volleyball.
We are very grateful to be part of this school and highly value the supportive, caring, and inclusive environment it provides.
