This is my 7th year teaching. I have 17 years of experience. in special education and mental health experience from NY. I have a daughter named Lucy and 3 animals. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a Recreational Therapist and Mental Health counselor for drug and alcohol, psychiatric and developmentally challenged individuals. My strengths as a teacher include strong classroom and behavior management skills and high expectations for not only myself but for my students.. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the children grow in many areas. In my free time I enjoy taking care of my daughter, sunbathing, swimming, reading and Yoga ( when I have time 🙂
I strive to create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment where your child will be able to make meaningful progress towards goals and standards. In our classroom, we use specialized instruction, applied behavior analysis, and play-based learning. Students work on communication, social skills, daily living skills, and gross and fine motor skills each day. My ultimate goal is to make sure your child is safe, happy, and reaching their full potential at school!
